From 5 to 7 January 2026 the African Digital Conference ran Digital Africa Rising: Transforming Innovation into Impact, a three-day virtual conference on Microsoft Teams. The programme was organised into six tracks, each addressing one part of the question in the title: what does it take to turn digital innovation into measurable economic and social impact?
1. Digital Transformation and Policy in Africa
The opening track looked at the policy and leadership conditions for digital transformation, from strategy inside organisations to the regulatory environment around them. It brought together eight contributors, including ADC Chairman Tamon Dieudonne and Data Sentinels CEO Nono Bokete.
2. Digital Marketing for Business Growth
This track focused on marketing as a growth engine rather than a support function, the theme that ran through ADC’s earlier editions.
3. Digital Literacy and Future Skills
Skills are the foundation of everything else. This track examined the capabilities professionals and students need as work changes.
4. Fintech and Inclusive Digital Finance
Digital payments and financial services shape who can take part in the digital economy. This track looked at inclusion and access.
5. Women and Youth in Tech
Four contributors addressed participation and leadership for women and young people in Africa’s technology sector.
6. Innovation and Startups
The final track turned to entrepreneurs building digital ventures and the support they need to scale.
The full programme, with every contributor by track, is on the Digital Africa Rising edition page.
