A speaker presents a slide on search engines to delegates at the 2026 summit

On 18 July 2026 the African Digital Conference held its Strategic Digital Leadership Summit in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Under the banner “Leading Africa’s Digital Future Through Innovation, Strategy & Transformation”, the one-day summit brought together entrepreneurs, managers, professionals and students to work on a single question: how should leaders run organisations in a digital and AI-enabled economy?

From search engines to strategy

Several sessions started with fundamentals that many organisations still overlook. Speakers walked participants through how search engines and results pages work, why visibility in search matters for customer acquisition, and how social media marketing fits into a wider system. One slide summed up the argument that ran through the day: without a system, every marketing dollar is partly wasted.

Workshops, not just talks

The summit was built for participation. Speakers used flip charts to map websites and customer journeys with the room, and delegates worked through examples at shared tables. A panel discussion later brought several speakers together on stage to compare perspectives.

Certificates and recognition

Participants received certificates on stage, and the day closed with the first African Digital Leadership Awards, recognising excellence in digital leadership, personal branding and creativity.

Photographs from the day are available in the ADC photo gallery, and the summit page will be updated with the full speaker list and award recipients as they are confirmed.
